Management buyout of Sentor Electrical

Management team, led by Lee Robinson, CEO, announces the buyout of Sentor Electrical, critical supplier to multi-national MEP contractors and a leading regional electrical distributor

 

Dubai, UAE 13 January 2023: The Management team of Dubai based Sentor Electrical (“Sentor”), led by Lee Robinson, the new CEO, today announced that deal terms for the Management Buyout of Sentor have been agreed. The transaction will be completed early in 2023.

Sentor is a leading electrical distributor to MEP contractors across the Gulf region with offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman and Qatar. Founded in 2000, Sentor has over 20 years of experience operating in the Middle East, supplying critical electrical products to key infrastructure projects including Dubai Airport, Museum of the Future in Dubai, Al  Thumama football stadium in Qatar and the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi.  In 2009, Sentor became an associate of Edmundson Electrical (“Edmundson”), the largest electrical distributor in the UK.

Sentor has since built a reputation as a long-term, trusted regional supplier and distributor of high-quality electrical products from the world’s leading manufacturers. Lee Robinson, CEO, Sentor has been with Sentor since 2010 and prior to that spent ten years working with Edmundson in the UK. Lee said: “I am delighted to have reached this important milestone in the transaction. My team and I look forward to continuing the exciting growth trajectory of Sentor and working alongside our key suppliers and partners as we expand our regional coverage. At the same time, Gary Hipperson, after 12 years as CEO  of Sentor, has decided to return to the UK. Both Sentor and Edmundson would like to thank Gary for his work and contribution to the growth of the business over his 26 year career in Sentor and Edmundson.”
